I understand my body as my working instrument and my voice as part of a whole. It is the deepest way I know to feel alive, to vibrate. Through acting in film, theater and singing, my voice is my instrument and part of my body; an extension of my soul.<\/p>\n

In cinema and theater -even when dealing with different codes-, when I approach structure, action, text, body intention, space-time and aesthetics itself, I have learned that you can always communicate, altering your identity, through conflict in scene. Also, in singing, I don’t understand the act of singing without the dramatic aspect, without a total expression, without a\u00a0 full communication. I feel that the importance of this communication elevates the song to \u201cpure theater\u201d. In my case, building characters is the most beautiful thing about opera, cinema, theater or Musical; to give as many faces and details as possible. She holds a degree in Piano from the Conservatorio Montserrat Caball\u00e9 (Madrid) and graduated in Singing & Vocal Performance from the Escuela Superior de Canto de Madrid and the Hochschule f\u00fcr Musik Franz Liszt in Weimar (Germany). She earned a Master\u2019s Degree in Artistic Education from the Real Conservatorio Superior de M\u00fasica de Madrid and a Master\u2019s Degree in Voice Pathology, specializing in Vocal Rehabilitation and the Enhancement of the Professional Spoken and Sung Voice, awarded by the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Alcal\u00e1 de Henares (Madrid) in collaboration with the Ram\u00f3n y Cajal Hospital (Madrid). She is currently a PhD candidate in Music, Science and Technology at the Universidad Polit\u00e9cnica de Madrid, where she is actively involved in her doctoral thesis.<\/p>\n

At present, Est\u00edbaliz Martyn is deeply immersed in her artistic career, developing and performing in international cinematic, musical, and theatrical projects across Europe, the United Arab Emirates, China, the United States, Latin America, and Japan.<\/p>\n

CINEMA:<\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Her passion for cinema and acting led her to fully train and carry out her acting training at the Juan Carlos Corazza Studio for the Actor (Madrid) and at the TAI Arts and Entertainment University School (Madrid). In 2016, she trained with Cornelius Horgan (Actors Studio in New York) and completed her acting training in front of the camera at the Cinema Room with Christopher Geitz and Mar Sampedro.<\/p>\n

She is currently involved as an actress in the feature films El Laberinto (2023) and Profec\u00eda (2025), both directed by Ignacio Oliva; La Respuesta de Lope de Vega (2024), directed by Diana Caro; and the Italian production Lo chiamava Rock & Roll (2024), directed by Saverio Smeriglio. In addition to her acting work, she performs as the soprano voice in the soundtrack of the Netflix series \u00c9lite (Seasons 4 and 5), composed by Lucas Vidal, and contributes both as actress and vocalist to the soundtrack of the Netflix series Welcome to Eden (2023, Brutal Media).<\/p>\n

She has also appeared in the film La Voz del Sol (2023), directed by Carol Polakoff, and collaborates with MEDIAPRO in its current production. She took part in an audiovisual tribute to the victims of the pandemic, directed by Antonio Cuadri and Isabel de Azc\u00e1rraga, which was broadcast via streaming to over 38,000 viewers worldwide.<\/p>\n

Between 2015 and 2016 she works on Televisi\u00f3n Espa\u00f1ola (TvE1), also doing dubbing voice Lyrical Singing in the series 6 Hermanas<\/em> (Leading Actress). Likewise, Est\u00edbaliz Martyn participates in the film Todos est\u00e1n muertos<\/em> (2014), directed by Beatriz Sanch\u00eds\/ Elena Anaya and makes the production La Citt\u00e0 dei Sogni<\/em> in Varese (Italy).<\/p>\n

Currently, she has several audiovisual projects planned both in Spain and abroad and has starred in the short films Ser\u00e1s<\/em> (2020), La querida<\/em> (2021), Reencuentro<\/em> (2022). In addition to her interpretation and acting profile, her voice is required in music for films, documentaries and works for the Disney\/Pixar factory.<\/p>\n

In 2023, she is in charge of opening and closing the awards ceremony of the North America International UniFilm Festival in Seattle (Washington, USA), performing as a soprano and also presenting part of the gala broadcast on television. She receives the NIAUFF 2023 Award for Outstanding Artist for Her Talent and Youth. Est\u00edbaliz Martyn collects this award in Hong Kong and performs again in Macau and Shenzhen\/Zhuhai (China).<\/p>\n

OPERA \/ THEATER \/ PIANO \/ DANCE:<\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

She comes from a successful tour in China (2025) and at the moment new projects await her in Spain, Mexico, Panama, the United Arab Emirates, the United States, Japan, and again, China.<\/p>\n

Est\u00edbaliz Martyn stars in the Opera L’enfant et les sortil\u00e8ges<\/em>, opening the 2024\/2025 season at the Real Teatro del Retiro (Madrid)\/ Teatro Real. In addition, she stars in the Opera El \u00c1ngel de Fuego<\/em> by S.Prok\u00f3fiev (2022), directed by Calixto Bieito at the Teatro Real in Madrid, in co-production with the Opernhaus in Z\u00fcrich (Switzerland). She is part of the First Edition of the Young Artist Program Crescendo 2021<\/em> at the Teatro Real in Madrid and has worked at the Teatro Real in Madrid, both in concerts -being Soprano Soloist- or in productions -being a main character- within the productions on the season.<\/p>\n

She premieres in Paris the contemporary play Four Haiku Clover (2024), performed in Spanish, English and Japanese.<\/p>\n

She works in Italy with Maestro Riccardo Muti and Cristina Mazzavillani-Muti at the Teatro Alighieri di Ravenna (Ravenna Festival, 2017) and Teatro Municipale di Piacenza (Oct 2018). She stars in LA TRAVIATA<\/em> at the Macerata Opera Festival 2021 (Italy), directed by Henning Brockhaus. In 2023-2024 she works as Soprano Soloist in Hamburg\/Bad Oldesloe (Germany), conducted by Mtro Henning M\u00fcnther.<\/p>\n

Estibaliz Martyn receives the NIAUFF 2023 (North America International UniFilm Festival) Award for Artist Outstanding for Her Talent and Youth 2023. She collects this award in Hong Kong and performs again in Macau and Shenzhen\/ Zhuhai (China).<\/p>\n

She has worked at the Teatro Espa\u00f1ol in Madrid, at the Teatro de La Zarzuela in Madrid (latest production: 24H lying<\/em>, Maestro Fco. Alonso), and at the National Music Auditorium in Madrid as Soprano Soloist. In 2019, she replaces Ainhoa Arteta in the Unicef Concert held at the National Auditorium in Madrid, and she opens the 59th Cuenca Religious Music Week, together with the conductor Crist\u00f3bal Soler and the composer Fabi\u00e1n Panisello.<\/p>\n

Likewise, Est\u00edbaliz Martyn sings and performs with the Chinese National Orchestra at the National Music Auditorium in Madrid (March, 2023), on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between China and Spain.<\/p>\n

In 2024, she stars in the opera “Nirina’s Dream”, an innovative work in Malagasy (the official language of Madagascar), composed by Juan Antonio Simarro, presented at the Symphony Hall of the National Auditorium of Music in Madrid. In addition to her outstanding artistic career, Est\u00edbaliz works hand in hand with Salesian Missions to defend the rights of children in Africa, promoting education, child protection and equity. Her commitment also extends to the care of nature and the construction of a hopeful future for developing countries, becoming a benchmark in the struggle for a fairer and more sustainable world.<\/p>\n

She plays Andi in the play Die Omama im Apfelbaum<\/em> (Elisabeth Naske), Frau Pearce (Pygmalion-My fair Lady<\/em>) at the Rudolstadt Theater in Germany. Estibaliz Martyn develops a deep and charismatic interpretation on stage. Critics have praised her beautiful, consistent and homogeneous vocal color throughout, as well as the breadth of her vocal register and her great facility for coloratura and high register. Musicality, precise diction, sense of style and careful interpretations have resulted in numerous recordings for numerous record labels (last album 2023: \u201cMiradas\u201d, with the NIBIUS record label. Regarding her musical career, she carried out her Higher and Professional Music Career, beginning her studies in Piano and Classical and Contemporary dance at the age of 4. Likewise, she began to develop her studies in Theater and Interpretation three years later.<\/p>\n

At the age of 18, she finished her Official Music Studies specializing in PIANO at the Professional Music Conservatory, and at the same age she was admitted to the Escuela Superior de Canto in Madrid, where she studied SINGING with teachers Ana Fernaud and Carmen Rodriguez-Aragon. At the age of 21, she is admitted to the German High School Hochschule f\u00fcr Musik Franz Liszt in Weimar (Thuringia) where she graduates with the highest marks, both in Piano and Singing. Curiously, by nature, she not only studies classical music but has also explored different styles such as Jazz, Musical Theater or Song. She deepens the Musical Theater genre in Spain with the direction of the artist \u00c1ngela Carrasco and exercises the Speech Level Singing and Voice Craft techniques with the vocal coach Jos\u00e9 Mar\u00eda Sep\u00falveda.<\/p>\n

Afterwards, she did a Master in Operngesang und Musiktheater<\/em> with the baritone Siegfried Gohritz and the teacher Sabine Lahm (HFM Franz Liszt, Weimar). She is admitted to the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester (United Kingdom) \u2013 Summer Course 2016 London MasterClasses- with Norma Fisher (LMC artistic director), with Nelly Miricioiu and Benjamin Zander. In 2017 she was accepted at the Trinity Royal College of Music in London (Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music & Dance) and was part of the London Bel Canto Festival 2017 with Ken Querns (artistic director of LBCF), Bruce Ford and Nelly Miricioiu. Likewise, Estibaliz Martyn is a vocal and acting coach, and in 2019 she completed the Master’s Degree in Voice Pathology and Vocal Rehabilitation at the Alcal\u00e1 de Henares Faculty of Medicine (Madrid). She organizes personal and business coaching focused on “Care of the Spoken and Sung Professional Voice”.<\/p>\n

In 2020, she completed the Official Master’s Degree in Artistic Education, and graduated with honors from the Royal Conservatory of Music in Madrid. Due to her pedagogical interest, she takes courses in Educational Sociology, Educational Psychology and Coaching for teachers at the Rey Juan Carlos University, Antonio de Nebrija University and Camilo Jos\u00e9 Cela University (Madrid).<\/p>\n

Est\u00edbaliz does PhD\/Doctorate in Music, Science and Technology (Interpretation and Artistic Creation) at the Polytechnic University of Madrid and at the Royal Superior Conservatory of Music of Madrid. She has worked as a teacher and co-author of the subject “Interpretation and Artistic Creation – Acting and musical, vocal and instrumental expression” for students of the Bachelor’s Degree in Teaching with a Mention in Music Education, at the European University of Madrid.<\/p>\n

In her research career, Est\u00edbaliz Martyn actively participates in international conferences and scientific publications dedicated to educational and artistic innovation. She has presented papers at the 3rd and 7th International Congress on Music and Culture for Inclusion and Innovation, including La canci\u00f3n del amor dolido y la canci\u00f3n del fuego fatuo: cl\u00e1sicas y flamencas cantando el amor brujo de Manuel de Falla (1915)<\/em>, focused on a performative and interdisciplinary analysis of Falla\u2019s masterpiece.<\/p>\n

In April 2026, she publishes the academic article Innovation in Operatic Interpretation: The Legacy of Maria Callas through Vocal, Dramatic and Comparative Analysis of Arias and Characters<\/em> in the Learning Styles Journal (indexed in JCR Q4), within the special issue Educating in Diversity through Musical and Artistic Proposals<\/em>. This work explores Maria Callas as both a pedagogical and artistic model, applying her interpretative legacy to the contemporary field of vocal and stage performance training.<\/p>\n

Her technical and style knowledge of the different repertoires have led her to teach at conferences and master classes on vocal technique and repertoire for international academic institutions. Currently, Est\u00edbaliz Martyn develops her artistic profession on stage and, in turn, is involved as a specialist teacher and coordinator in charge of the department of the Master of Artistic Teaching in Singing and Operatic Interpretation, in\u00a0addition to participating as a teacher and in academic activities at various universities.<\/p>\n

Apart from her artistic career, she also completed a Degree in Literature and Modern Languages (German, English, Italian, Russian and French) at the Complutense University of Madrid. And, similarly, in Germany she continued her university studies at the Bauhaus-Universit\u00e4t in Weimar. In addition, she is an official examiner of the Cervantes Institute since 2019 and completed the “Official Master’s Degree in Teaching Spanish as a Foreign Language” in 2020, at the VIU (Valencian International University).<\/p>\n

In 2025, Est\u00edbaliz Martyn is admitted to the World Youth Festival 2025, held in Moscow and Nizhny Novgorod (Russia), after successfully passing an exhaustive international selection process. As the only Spanish artist selected to take part in this prestigious event, she was recognized as an artistic prodigy and one of the most promising voices of her generation, representing young talent in the artistic and cultural sphere worldwide.<\/p>\n

As of December 2018, she performs the World Premier and between 2018 and 2019 she stars in the Spanish Tourn\u00e9e. Likewise, she sings together with Maestro Pl\u00e1cido Domingo at the Almudena Cathedral in Madrid (June 2019) as Soprano Soloist, concert directed by Jordi Bern\u00e0cer (Director of \u00d3pera San Francisco) and Madrid Philharmonic Orchestra and Choir.<\/p>\n

Likewise, she is a Winner in the International Singing Competition “Luis Mariano” of Ir\u00fan, in the XIV City of Seville New Voices Contest and in the IV International Singing Competition \u00d3pera de Tenerife.<\/p>\n

Nominated for Best Leading Actress at the X Edition of the Musical Theater Awards (Spain), and Finalist at Neue Stimmen 2017 International Singing Competition, G\u00fctersloh \u2013 Germany (Final Round). 1st Finalist in IV Concorso Internazionale di Canto di Portofino 2018 (Italy), Winner of the V International Singing Contest Un Futuro de Arte 2018 (Medinaceli) for the second consecutive year and winner of the International Singing Contest \u201cCity of Albacete\u201d 2018.<\/p>\n

She is the Spanish representative and winner at the Grand Final of the China Water Cube Cup 2023, being the best foreign singer (Beijing, China, 2023), singing in the local Mandarin Chinese language. She receives the NIAUFF 2023 award at the North American International Unifilm Festival in Seattle, held in Hong Kong. She is awarded the UUPrize2023 (Talent and Youth Award) “Inspiring Women Leaders 2023 in the Digital Era: Creating Sustainable Value” (Polytechnic University of Madrid) and is the winner of the “Sancho Panza Awards 2025” (Spain).<\/p>\n
